Ongo and Carlsberg partner to digitize vendor payments

Carlsberg, one of the leading brewery groups in the world today, and Ongo, the market leading B2B digital payment service in Myanmar, signed a contract to bring simple, swift and secure payment solutions to Carlsberg vendors.  

YANGON, Myanmar, 8 May 2019 – Wednesday, May 8th marks the official launch of the cash/credit collection service between Ongo and Carlsberg wherein Ongo collects and digitizes all Carlsberg payments from their customers in an efficient and secure manner.

Founded in 2013, Carlsberg in Myanmar has grown significantly since their inauguration into the Myanmar market and today serves more than 3,700 of clients/(vendors) across the country. In an effort to streamline transactions with their customers, Carlsberg will be able to engage them more effectively, detailing real-time information with each vendor, making every transaction swift and secure.

Myanmar Carlsberg Company Ltd (MCCL) is as joint venture between the Carlsberg Group (51% ownership) and Myanmar Golden Star (MGS – 49% ownership).
