What can we do with Ongo Mobile Money?

How to Register and Activate?

  • Fill in your name, mobile number and select your own six-digit PIN number.
  • Receive an activation code via SMS, fill in that code and update your profile information. You’ll then be directed to your local Ongo Cash Agent.
  • Bring your NRC card with you to get activated! (Note: you’ll need to have internet service when using the app.) (or) you can call the Ongo call center.

What is the minimum cash In amount to start using your Ongo account?

  • 1000 kyats only each time!

Where can I find my Ongo Mobile Money App?

  • Download it from Google Playstore or directly from our website or with your local Ongo Cash Agent. We have over 150 locations in Yangon alone!

Do I have to open a bank account to use the Ongo Mobile Money App?

  • No bank accounts are required. You just need a compatible Android mobile phone.

What is my QR code and how can I use it?

  • The QR code is your unique ID for payment transactions with Ongo users or businesses.

How can I change my PIN?

  • Change your PIN easily in your account profile.

What can I do if I forget my PIN Number?

  • Call Ongo Customer Service @ 09-450888-996/997 to reset a PIN number.

What if I enter the wrong PIN?

  • You have 3 attempts to enter your PIN correctly.
  • After the 3rd time, your account will be locked.
  • If your account gets locked, please call Ongo Customer Service at 09-450888-996, 09-450888-997 to help you unlock your account.

General

What happens to my account if I change my mobile number?

  • You need to call Ongo Customer Service @ 09-450888-996/997 and inform them of your change in number.
  • Ongo Customer Service will then update the system with your new mobile number.
  • You have to re-enter your new mobile number and PIN correctly when you sign in.
  • An Activation code will then be sent to your new mobile number.

What happens if my phone is lost or stolen? Can I lose money from my account?

  • Don’t worry! You won’t lose your money. No one can access your account without knowing your PIN.
  • Inform Ongo Customer Service immediately on 09-450888-996/997 as you may need to close your account temporarily while the issue is resolved.
