How to register and activate?

  • Fill in your Name, Mobile Number and select your own six-digit PIN Number.
  • Receive an Activation Code via SMS,fill in that code and update your Profile information.You’ll then be directed to your local Ongo Cash Agent.Bring your NRC card with you to get activated! (Note: You’ll need to have internet service when using the App.)

What is the minimum Cash In amount to start using your Ongo account?

  • 1000 kyats only each time!

Where can I find my Ongo Mobile Money App?

  • Download it from the Google Playstore or directly from our website www.ongo.com.mm  Or with your local Ongo Cash Agent.We have over 150 locations in Yangon alone!

Do I have to open a bank account to use the Ongo Mobile Money App?

  • No bank accounts are required. You just need a compatible android mobile phone.

What is my QR code and how can I use it?

  • QR code is your unique ID for payment transactions with Ongo users or businesses.

How do I Cash In with Ongo Mobile Money?

  • Locate an Ongo Cash Agent.
  • Confirm the cash amount in your Ongo App.
  • Wait for your one time,4-digit PIN or QR code.
  • Give the PIN to your Cash Agent or ask them to scan the QR code.
  • Your Cash agent will then credit E-money into your Ongo Mobile Money account.

How do I Cash Out from Ongo Mobile Money?

  • Locate an Ongo Cash Agent.
  • Confirm and enter the amount that you wish to Cash Out.
  • Wait for your one time,4-digit PIN code.
  • Give the PIN to your Cash Agent or ask them to scan the QR code.
  • Your Cash Agent will then hand you cash in return.

How do I send money to my family and friends?

  • Use the Peer Transfer function within the Ongo App.
  • Enter the recipient’s mobile number and the transfer amount correctly.
  • Your recipient will receive an SMS and notification regarding the transfer.

How long does it take to transfer money?

  • Instantly! (within seconds)

Is there a maximum limit when transferring money?

  • Personal accounts have a: 500,000 Kyats limit per transaction (up to 1,000,000 Kyats per day).
  • No limit for business accounts.

Can I send cash using Ongo Mobile Money to a non-Ongo user?

  • Yes, you can.
  • The non-Ongo recipient will be notified with an SMS.
  • The recipient then installs the Ongo Mobile Money App (or ask a Cash Agent to help)
  • Then,simply locate the nearest Ongo Mobile Money Agent to withdraw

What happens if I accidentally send money to the wrong mobile number?

  • Transfers made cannot be reversed!
  • Check the receiver’s mobile number for accuracy
  • Call Ongo Customer Service @ 09-450888-996/997 if unsure

How can I change my PIN?

  • Change your PIN easily in your account profile.

What can I do if I forget my PIN Number?

  • Call Ongo Customer Service @ 09-450888-996/997 to reset a PIN Number

What if I enter the wrong PIN?

  • You have 3 attempts to enter your PIN correctly.
  • After the 3rd time, your account will be locked.
  • If your account gets locked, please call Ongo Customer Service at 09-450888-996, 09-450888-997

General

What happens to my account if I change my mobile number?

  • You need to call Ongo Customer Service @ 09-450888-996/997 and inform them of your change in number.
  • Ongo Customer Service will then update the system with your new mobile number.
  • You have to re-enter your new mobile number and PIN correctly when you sign in.
  • An Activation code will then be sent to your new mobile number.

What happens if my phone is lost or stolen? Can I lose money from my account?

  • Don’t worry! You won’t lose your money. No one can access your account without knowing your PIN.
  • Inform Ongo Customer Service immediately @ 09-450888-996/997 as you may need to close your account temporarily while the issue is resolved.
